Winery Tour

Discover and taste the story of great wines and ciders in Latvia. Owners of the wineries personally will welcome you and tell you stories about their passion, as we take you on a winery tour of Kurzeme.

Tour will start at the first barefoot trail in Baltics, where you will have the chance to enjoy beautiful nature and boost some energy. You will wonder what’s the point of this? Let us tell you what the benefits of this interesting activity are:

• we harden, strengthen the body’s defenses;
• the blood circulate faster, which also pleases the heart;
• we absorb the energy of the earth and return the excess;
• we develop a sense of balance, internal stability – both physical and psychological;
• by gently activating the nerve endings that are in the footsteps, we have a beneficial effect on the whole organism.

The 3 km long trail leads through various stages, walking through clear, refreshing river water, healing mud, pine cones, white sand, and many, many other interesting stages. Your feet will experience unforgettable feelings. Most important- enjoy it slowly. Just relax and feel how energy and vitality appears. But that’s not it! This beautiful place is full of surprises, you will also have a chance to visit the large format photo gallery which takes place in the woods.

The next stop on the first day will be the best-known winery in Latvia. The winery is a family-owned producer of premium craft drinks made from fruits and berries grown in Latvia. Their drinks have been highly acknowledged by professionals both locally and internationally and have won numerous awards.  You will have the chance to enjoy tastings of different dry, sweet, and medium beverages and some snacks as well. But that’s not it! You will have a tour of the vineyard as well as a wonderful opportunity to learn about winemaking and grape growing from the owners of the winery.

After a day full of discovery you will be ready to relax and get a good night’s sleep at a beautiful place which is located only 5 km from the winery. You have a chance to choose what suits you the best – room at a manor house or cabin.

On the second day, you will visit a winery which is located in the manor house – built in 1734, 25 km away from the place you will stay overnight. Room decoration, doors, windows, stairs, and parquet floors- the interior from the 18th and 19th centuries has remained almost intact. Restoration works are still on, but you will have the chance to visit the basement where the winery is located, as well on a 1,5-hour excursion you will hear stories about past, present and future plans from the manor house and winery owners. Tasting is taking place in the dining room of the manor house where you will try 3 different beverages- cider, wine, and also some local snacks.
